Dr. Appointment

We took Bryson back to the Dr. last Friday due to the fact that the amoxicillin did not clear up his sinus/ear infections. The Dr. started him on omnicef and he's doing much better. He went back today for his 6 month check-up and shots. His right ear is clear but the left ear is still not all the way cleared up. He only had to get 2 vaccinations this visit. He actually didn't cry this time on the first prick! Here are his stats for anyone who wants to know. He is a whopping 20.7 pounds (86th percentile) 28 1/2 inches long ( 95th percentile) and his head is 18" round (91 percentile). He is growing like a weed. He has just started to crawl but that is limited to upstairs mostly since all the floors downstairs are hard, except Andrew's office. Hopefully in the very near future we will post some video of this new venture. Guess it's time to start child-proofing the house and most definitely time to invest in a gate for the stairs!! We also took Emily in last Friday because she has been getting these really red "rashes" under her arms and in the creases of her arms and on her inner thighs. I had a suspicion that it might be eczema but was not sure. Turns out it was. Seems to be related to moisture. She says it stings and burns so the Dr. gave us some steroid cream for her legs and the rest of the areas we just need to keep cream on them. The Dr. also tested her for a urinary tract infection since we mentioned the fact that she is still having problems with wetting the bed. I was positive that this was not an issue however they found out that she has protein in her urine. (totally non related to the bed wetting) Anyways- we had to go back and get 2 cups to collect morning urine samples since there is a type of proteinuria that occurs when standing. This type is normally clear in the morning after resting has taken place. We took in the first sample this morning and it was clear of protein (Praise the Lord for that!). Another answer to prayer. We have to take one more sample in just to be sure. So for now- everything is looking good. Hopefully the next sample will be negative as well!
