Our Day At Carowinds

Image
We decided to go ahead and get season passes to Carowinds since it basically pays for itself even if we only go a couple of times. Memorial Day was obviously NOT the time to go. The water park was so jam packed you could barely move around in there. Every chair they had at the wade pool was taken so it was either stand or sit on the cement. Dollywood is 100 times BETTER! We had never been to Boomerang Bay inside of Carowinds before. It's definitely worth the extra drive to go to Dollywood. We picked Carowinds since it is closer by and we could just go for a day and drive back. Dollywood is a little far for that. Oh-well. We'll know better next time. Anyways- here are a few pics. from the day. You might think by looking at the pictures that Bryson did a lot of sleeping but he DIDN'T! He slept quite a bit on the way there and finally conked out in his stroller for all of about 10 minutes- if that! Crazy kid. If he can't be on a blanket in his crib than you can just forget

Bryson's First Time In The Pool

Image
Bryson LOVED the pool. We are so excited they met their dead line and got it open. We expected it to be packed since it was a Saturday and it was the first day to be open ever. There was hardly anyone there and much to Tyler's dismay :-) mostly little kids. We had a great time and can't wait to go again.

A Grandparent's Influence

Text - Proverbs 13:22 "A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children.........." I Plead with you....Don't take your grandkids for granted.....So many grandparents today act as if they could care less about their grandkids....Many grandparents are too wrapped up in their own life that they just haven't' got time for the grandkids Don't wait on them to come to you..... You make the effort to get involved in their lives... and don't give up... 1) GRANDPARENTS ARE IMPORTANT IN GOD'S EYES... You have the opportunity to have power and influence over a special group of people called Grandchildren that no one else has....If you use that opportunity you can be very, very special to these precious Grandchildren... I had two very special Grandparents.......Mama Katie and Papa Lloyd.....probably two of the dearest people to me during my lifetime. They LIVED for their grandchildren..... Everyday after school, they came over shortly aft

Daddy's Twins

Image
Andrew's mom brought over some pictures for me of Andrew as a baby so I decided to put together a little slide show. Now I realize all 3 of my children resemble him but- holy cow! Bryson really does look like his twin. I am raising a little Andrew. No wonder he's sooooo darn cute! :-) Well- hope everyone enjoys as this took a lot of time scanning in pictures and finding ones that went with each other. I think I've spent at least 3 hours sitting here. LOL Make a Smilebox photobook

Old pictures- Emily and Wendy Sleeping

Image
I love comparing old pictures of us to our children. Every one has always said Emily looks like me- however I do see a lot of Andrew in her as well. This picture though really makes us look a lot alike.

Who would have ever thought?

Emily at Field Day at Hampton Park

Image
Emily had field day last Friday. I think she enjoyed hanging out with her friends and just having a good time more so than the competing. We weren't there for the whole day as we decided to wait and go at around lunch time so we could take her to lunch and then come back for the rest. A lot of the activities had to be done in the gym since the fields were soggy wet from the rain the night before. My dad was there during the morning until they left for lunch and these are the pictures he took. Thanks Dad! We forgot our camera.
