True Love by Andrew Alpaugh

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! Today I want to talk about a topic that is very close to my heart: true love. What is true love and how do you know when you have found it?

True love is not just a feeling or an emotion. It is a commitment, a choice, and a way of life. True love is not based on physical attraction, compatibility, or convenience. It is based on respect, trust, honesty, and loyalty. True love is not selfish, possessive, or demanding. It is generous, supportive, and understanding.

True love is not easy to find, but it is worth waiting for. It is not something that happens at first sight, but something that grows over time. It is not something that you fall into, but something that you work on. It is not something that you take for granted, but something that you cherish.

How do you know when you have found true love? There is no definitive answer to this question, but here are some signs that might indicate that you have met your soulmate:

- You feel comfortable and safe with them. You can be yourself and share your deepest thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or rejection.

- You respect and admire them. You appreciate their strengths and accept their weaknesses. You don't try to change them or make them fit your expectations.

- You support and encourage them. You celebrate their successes and comfort them in their failures. You don't compete with them or envy them.

- You trust and communicate with them. You are honest and faithful to them. You don't lie or cheat on them. You listen to them and express your opinions and needs clearly.

- You compromise and cooperate with them. You are willing to make sacrifices and adjustments for the sake of the relationship. You don't insist on having your way or being right all the time.

- You enjoy and grow with them. You have fun and laugh with them. You learn from them and teach them new things. You share common interests and values.

These are some of the signs of true love, but they are not exhaustive or exclusive. True love can manifest in different ways for different people. The important thing is to be honest with yourself and your partner about what you want and need in a relationship.  I have been lucky and blessed to have found true love twice in my life.

True love is not a fairy tale or a fantasy. It is a reality that can be experienced by anyone who is willing to open their heart and mind. True love is a gift that can enrich your life and make you a better person.
