Thanksgiving at Dollywood

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving in the Smokey Mountains! Hopefully good memories our children will cherish when they are grown. We managed to pull off cooking dinner in about a 4x5 foot space called the kitchen! It all turned out and everything was delicious! The kids shot some hoops and Bryson had a good ol' time just running around and picking up leaves while we waited for the Turkey to get done. Later that evening after Bryson was in bed we played a game of Cranium. The front desk had games that you could check out. Definitely not a game I would care to play again! The day after Thanksgiving we headed over to Dollywood. The weather was gorgeous and could not have been more perfect. Bryson was in awe at all the lights when it started to get dark. I think the first time ever he has actually sat in his stroller for a whole day without fussing to get out. There was lots to look at and it kept him busy thank goodness. After that we headed back to our condo to eat leftovers. Just as good the second time around. After dinner we decided to head to the outlets to see if any of them were still open. There were only a few open til midnight but 2 of them were actually Tyler's favorite places so all was good for him. :-) We then headed to see what time Goody's closed and got to spend about 15 mintues in there. Off to Walmart for sodas and then back to the condo. What a long day! We decided to get everything loaded up to allow more sleep time in the morning since check-out was at 10. Finally we got to go to bed! The next day we headed back to Dollywood again only this time it was cold and rainy! We got to see the Kingdom Heirs perform and made it over to the Old Grist Mill for a yummy loaf of cinnamon bread. It's the best! We had planned to take Bryson over to the kiddie area but decided it was just too cold and wet so we headed back out. We stopped for hot chocolate before loading up on the tram to go back to our car. We then went back to the outlets but before we got there Bryson and Emily had fallen asleep so Andrew stayed in the car with them while Tyler and I went in a few more stores. Much too busy for my liking! You would have thought the stores were giving stuff away! I'm not one for crowds. Didn't really see any great deals either. After we finished there it was time to head back home. It rained the whole way back but at least we didn't have any traffic delays. Much quicker getting back than it was going. The kids slept so we had a quiet peaceful time to just enjoy talking to each other without being interrupted! It was nice. Always good to be "Home Sweet Home"! Below are 3 of my favorite pictures and the rest of them are posted on our web album if you'd like to see them. Click HERE to go to the web album.

Looks like y'all had a great time and got some really good pictures. The condo also seemed to be nice. My gracious, the kids are growing up to fast! In a few years you will probably have the beat the girls away from Tyler a stick. They are all sooo precious ad I love them and their mommy and daddy a bushel. Mom

I just looked at the pics again and you will have to add Emily to the "beat 'em off with a stick" comment when she gets to dating age. Hmmmm, the number 30?
