Dollywood

Andrew and I were engaged 17 yrs. ago this month so we decided to go on a little get away without our children to celebrate our anniversary early since it is always SO cold in January and doesn't really work out well being right after Christmas and all, plus we have always wanted to go to Dollywood during the Gospel Harvest Celebration when there are LOTS of Southern Gospel Quartets to hear. We got to hear the Bowling Family, Gold City and The Florida Boys. Got to do lots of shopping, eating and even went to the Dixie Stempede...something we have never done! It was not really my cup of tea but Andrew loved it :) so that's good for me. My favorite part of the meal at the Dixie Stampede was the creamy vegetable soup and the biscuit brought out before the meal. Wish I had a bowl to eat right now! We of course sat on the South side but unfortunately the North side won that night. Oh-well! It was definitely a treat to enjoy our peace and quiet and leisurely walk through the park with no kids...but at the same time we missed them bunches and couldn't wait toget back to them. We heard Bryson never even asked for us ONE time! Boo-Hoo! As always, there is no place like home!
